Job Description
SGS is seeking a Laboratory technician to join the team in Perth. Roster is Monday to Friday alternating weekly 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Perform digestions, solvent extraction and fusion following established procedures.
- Prepare solutions and reagent according to procedures.
- Operate instrument and equipment according to the procedures.
- Ensure quality and quantity of samples produced.
- Maintain daily production targets.
- Maintain a safety aware environment.
- Dispose samples and waste according to defined procedures.
- Complete balance, dispenser and pipette verification as per schedule.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Laboratory skills.
- Understand and be responsible for basic quality control/assurance procedures and techniques.
- Work under general to minimal supervision, either individually or in a team environment.
- Be occupational health and safety conscious and aware of housekeeping requirements.
