Essential Functions

Responsible for Estimating Team
Plan, develop and coordinate estimating efforts
Oversees bid process, review of takeoffs for sheet metal, piping and plumbing as they relate to each project.
Coordinate Bid Documents, Bid Dates and Project Deliverables
Maintain accurate and complete bid estimates
Interaction with Customers as part of Bid Review, Project Interviews
Must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills

Summary of Duties

Working closely with President & SVP Sales to develop & execute estimating capabilities & relationships
Managing & Training of Estimating Team (Sheetmetal, Pipe & Plumbing Estimators)
Coordinate with Design Team and Project Management Team on new projects for turnover
Lead Turnover Process from Estimating to Project Team for new jobs
Ability to manage multiple bid projects and meet due date
Develop Accurate and Complete Estimates
Maintain Data Base for Estimating Team
Coordinates with vendors for accurate scopes and pricing on projects
Build Relationships and Alliances with Suppliers, Equipment Manufactures and Subcontractors

Qualifications and Required Skills

Must possess a working knowledge of construction documentation and pricing
Ability to read plans and specifications and translate them into estimates.
Preferred BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
Strong Experience of 5+ years of construction estimating experience/ Management
Design Assist & TVD Experience
Experience with VE’s, RFIs, Change orders, is highly preferred
Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, On-screen Takeoff, Timberline or other estimating software
Knowledge of Revit, Quick Pen, Autodesk, Excel, Google Docs, Navisworks
Technical Knowledge for MEP / HVAC Systems & Design
Experience In MEP Systems background
