Job Description
SGS are seeking keen enthusiastic people to fill the sample preparer role at our laboratory in Kalgoorlie. Our culture is a focused and supportive one, and we are genuinely committed to making it a great place to work for all employees. Good literacy, team playing, attention to detail and initiative are required. Full training is provided. Roster for this position is 4 days on, 4 nights on, 4 days off - 10 or 12 hour days.
Responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:
- Unloading, loading, sorting and weighing of samples onto drying racks
- Reconcile samples delivered with the supplied sample submission form listing extras and those not received onto the sample sorting sheet
- Responsible for milling samples and transferring sub-samples to sample packets while maintaining numerical order and following established quality control procedures and avoiding contamination.
- Responsible for offloading of sample and stock deliveries and reconcile the deliveries.
- Responsible for sample clearances after completion of analysis and collecting of samples from the storage yard when requested
Qualifications
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Forklift License (Desirable)
- Previous Laboratory experience (Preferred)
- Teamwork and cooperation with effective communication
- Physically fit due to required tasks.
- Meet site access requirements (ie: training, induction and medical requirements)
