JOB SUMMARY
This position is designed to manage multiple road construction, and bridge projects in and around the area. The ideal candidate should have multiple years of experience working in a superintendent role in a fast-paced environment. Handling multiple road projects with an advanced level of scheduling of specialized construction crews and equipment is required. This Superintendent is responsible for the timely completion of heavy civil projects within an allotted budget. The position will be responsible for scheduling the project activities and directly supervise various foreman in the construction of all earthworks, roadwork, bridges, or other performed work.
JOB DUTIES
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Interfacing with Client representatives and other contractors, etc
- Report any extra work, back charges to subcontractors, or delays caused by owner, utility company, or others.
- Perform other related duties as required of the position or as assigned by supervision
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
- Written pre-employment qualification test.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
