This role will begin with training at our Houston office and will require openness to travel as part of supporting industrial construction projects in the field. Job Summary:
The Timekeeping and Field Admin is responsible for overseeing and coordinating timekeeping and field administrative functions for industrial construction projects in a fieldwork environment. This role works closely with project managers, field personnel, Payroll, and the HR department to ensure accurate timekeeping and efficient administrative operations in the field. Success in this role requires the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, following verbal directions effectively, and adapting quickly to instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timekeeping System Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of timekeeping systems tailored to the needs of a mobile or field-based workforce, including mobile time-tracking apps or devices.
- Time and Attendance Tracking: Supervise the accurate recording of work hours, breaks, and overtime for field employees, often using digital systems or mobile apps.
- Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with the payroll department to integrate field employees' time and attendance data into the payroll process, including verifying the accuracy of hours worked.
- Field Operations Support: Provide administrative support to field personnel, which may include supplying necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
- Training and Onboarding: Train field employees, especially new hires, on timekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between field employees, headquarters, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring that important information is shared effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized records related to field operations, including work orders, job site reports, and equipment logs.
- Must possess field experience with a solid understanding of on-site operations and timekeeping processes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll management, or field administration, preferably in the construction or energy industry.
- Proficiency in timekeeping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
