The Reliability Consultant will develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment and processes. Directs asset maintenance activities based on predictive maintenance tests. Determines cost advantages of alternatives and develops action plans that comply with internal/external customer demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failures.
Specific Duties and responsibilities:
- Gathers reliability data and correlates the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Lead root cause investigations, recommend corrective actions and provide creative solutions to mitigate failures
- Manages various projects to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget guidelines by planning and coordinating workflow within team and ensuring sufficient resources and training necessary to perform assigned work.
- Investigates new maintenance and diagnostic technologies applications that will allow for O&M cost reduction and increased system reliability. Collects, analyzes and reports on predictive maintenance program benefits/impact.
- Oversees and evaluates system issues related to reliability during system disturbances.
- Coordinates the performance management process for team members and provides performance feedback for the goal of maximizing performance.
- Provides leadership and maintains overall authority and accountability for the team.
- Follows safety and health guidelines.
- Performs other work as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
- Education – bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or equivalent
- Experience – 3-10 years of experience.
Must pass drug screen, as condition of employment.
