Job Details:
The Fire Alarm Lead Installer will perform installations of fire alarm wire, trim out devices, read prints and do As Built. As a fire alarm installer, this person is expected to be self-motivated, self-managed and can lead a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
- Runs fire alarm wire to NFPA standards. Lifting, performing repetitive motions, using hand, power tools and working in all types of weather are demands of this position.
- Responsible for the connection of fire alarm panels, power supplies, wire concealment.
- Completes all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements including installation of all fire alarm devices.
- Troubleshoots fire alarm system installations to ensure that they are functioning properly and that they meet local, county, state, and/or federal codes and any licensing and/or insurance requirements.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager.
- Be able to do JHA and daily reports.
Requirements:
- Must have a Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL)
- Able to install and service many different fire alarm manufacturers.
- High School Diploma or commensurate experience
- Five years’ experience in the installation of fire alarm Systems
- PC Proficient
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass drug and background screens.
